Mark your calendars for the Old Kōloa Town Historical Walk, taking place on Friday, July 24th at 10AM. Meet your guide at the Kōloa Historical Monument, just across the street, to learn about the town’s history as one of Hawaii’s first commercial sugar plantation towns.

You’ll visit the site of the third Kōloa Mill, the History Monument, and several historic buildings while learning about their fascinating pasts as a dispensary, churches, a motel for traveling salesmen, supply stores for whaling ships, a soda factory, and other enterprises. It’s a great way to work up an appetite for lunch while discovering the rich history and charm of Old Kōloa Town.

We are a Supporting Event Sponsor of the Kōloa Plantation Days festival, a ten-day celebration held every year in July with events taking place all over Kōloa and Poʻipū. By celebrating the theme “The Last Harvest” we honor the many waves of ethnic groups that came to Hawaii to work on sugar plantations through music, dance, costumes, and food.
